21st century has seen the need for high technological
developments such as optoelectronics, biotechnology,
mechatronics, metal injection etc. and in turn
the need for a new generation of metals. Hi-tech
metals need improved properties such as permeability,
temperature tolerance, resistance to wear and
corrosion, shape recovery etc.. Thus, more advanced
and compact products for end-users would be, more
than ever, in demand in the next millenium and
beyond. It has been our aim to invest in the development
and research of such materials in order to meet
the needs from industries, bearing in mind, the
competitive costs, precision requirements, recycling
procedures and the need for environmental protection.
Assisting Clients in Importing Materials to China
under “Zero Tariff”(Mainland Invoice with Sales Tax only)
With the disappearance of “three supply’s and one compensation” for setting up factories in mainland China by Hong Kong investors, C.K. YEUNG WORLDWIDE LIMITED has been committed to carrying on “unlimited creativity and legal compliance”, making full use of the Chinese state policy to assist clients in importing high-quality metal materials under zero tariff and enhancing our customers’ competitiveness in winning orders. For examples: we imported whole-plant equipment and turn- key project from hi-tech Japanese companies to Hong Kong and exported the Hong Kong manufactured products to the mainland under zero tariff through Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), sourcing from Taiwan, China and Asian countries through Economic Co-operation Framework Agreement (ECFA), or China and ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA), offering clients mainland sales tax invoice with free tariff.
The Creative R&D Center
Our company is committed to pinpointing the use of products to lower their cost at the strategic level and from the perspective of clients so as to help clients increase economic performance. Our R&D Center specializes in the research of new surface film, coating & plating, surface treatment, nano-tech application, and new alloys, in an effort to achieve higher conductivity, insulation, static charge resistance, whole and after-shearing anti-corrosion, and anti-impact capacity and facilitate the alloy melting so that the materials are thin and light, products are smaller in volume, the quality is higher, and the price is lower.
A Professional Team for Research and Development with Academic
and Career Backgrounds Relating to MIT, Harvard, Chicago, etc.
We are the first corporation to move into the Hong Kong Science Park, specializing in R&D of new materials, alloy, metal coating, and nano materials as well as the first large company owning well equipped laboratory. We seek to provide clients with tailored and imported high-quality metal materials and other industrial raw materials, offer free or partially free testing of metal materials, carbon fiber, engineering plastics and other five-metals and high-tech materials. Our Hong Kong and Shenzhen operations of technology and trade include Hong Kong Science Park, De Huang Center (opposite to Wanxiangcheng). Besides R&D of materials, we are also engaged in materials testing, credit facilities, and excellent supply chain services.
The Team of Counselors
The Team of Counselors of the R&D Division includes several internationally-renowned professors and contributors of papers: Prof. Otto C.C Lin , Prof. Lui Sun Wing, and Prof. Chen Shih-Chi. Prof. Otto Lin holds a Ph.D. degree from Columbia University and is the former president of Taiwan Engineering Institute, former vice president of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and now is a honorary counselor of C.K. YEUNG WORLDWIDE LIMITED. With a science background, he has been in administrative positions and is actually a versatile man. Prof. Lin has worked in DuPont for over 16 years, involving production, R&D, market survey, and after-sales service. Prof. Lui Sun Wing is our honorary counselor and was the former vice president of Hong Kong Productivity Council, in charge of new materials, advanced manufacturing technology, and environmental protection technology, apart from research, counsel, and training services for the business circles. While acting as the vice president of Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU), he was in charge of production and academic cooperation. And he was concurrently the dean of the HKPU Shenzhen Graduate School. Prof. Chen Shih-Chi has research background related to MIT and Harvard and is now the executive counselor of our R&D Center and Associate Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and he is field of interest is mechanical engineering.
